CraftsVilla was founded by Manoj Gupta and Monica Gupta in 2011. They had started with 80 employees in different five offices across India. By 2012, they came down to one room office and left out with only 10 employees. The company is headquartered in Mumbai.

Craftsvilla has a contract with Ministry of Textiles for online selling of handloom products made by small weavers. They have also tied up with Weavesmart for supplies of handloom products from different parts of India.
